Reshoring, insourcing, near sourcing . . . Lots of talk these days about bringing manufacturing “back to the USA”.

How do you figure out and compare costs when making the decision on where to buy your products and/or packaging? The Reshoring Initiative has a Total Cost of Ownership Estimator program that is free – go to it here: TCO Estimator.

Salt Lake City designer,  Rod Burkholz of Helius Creative has developed a good looking logo. You pay a  usage fee directly to Rod for use on your packaging & print. Find him here on Facebook: MadeInUSALogo

UPB buys only American made board and is based in Utah, so we’re all for the Made in USA movement! Much of the business at UPB is specialty food, cosmetics and even windshield wiper packaging. Each of those industries are perfect for keeping things made regionally if not, locally. UPB recently brought all production under one roof and received the certification for LEED Gold on the new office and printing building. Both of these situations make them more competitive and productive in the New Made in the USA push. Here’s a recent video of the building and the production offerings at UPB.

Here’s a logo/certification mark – does your company qualify?  This one is “put together by a branding firm with Midwestern values and clients”. Check here!
